Important: Which cloud subscription do I need?
The Pro3 captures raw data — the Matterport Cloud processes it into navigable 3D models, floor plans, and point clouds. Without a cloud subscription, the Pro3 remains an expensive paperweight.
Minimum: Professional Plan
To access the full functionality of the Pro3, you need at least the Matterport Professional Plan. The "Free" and "Starter" plans do not support LiDAR data or E57 exports — meaning no export to CAD/BIM software, and no extended LiDAR range.

The Pro2 is still a solid choice for indoor-only scans of smaller objects. For most professional applications — especially when outdoor and indoor areas are to be combined — the Pro3 is the better investment.
Do I need a cloud subscription for the Matterport Pro3?
Yes. The Pro3 captures raw data, but processing into 3D models, floor plans, and point clouds takes place in the Matterport Cloud. At least a Professional Plan is required — the Free and Starter plans do not support LiDAR data or E57 export.
Can I use the scan data in CAD and BIM software?
Yes, starting with the Professional Plan. You can export E57 point clouds that work in all common CAD and BIM programs – Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Archicad, Vectorworks, and many more.
